This 5 prong hairclaw is carved from laminated birch hardwood -water resistant. It is about 5.5" long. I also use these as hair combs. 
You can also use this as a shawl closure.
All hairclaws have slight curves to ensure comfort and that it will not slide out at those inopportune moments.
